Be Creative

About

Travel to wild and beautiful places, long conversations with people from all walks of life, and endless hours peering through the lens of my Canon—that’s how I gather the information I need to properly tell a story.

My work history includes working as editor and chief at an Oregon-based family and lifestyle magazine for seven years. It was during that time that I refined my skills as a creative director, learned to lead photo shoots, and came to curate content that garnered a following. Since then, I’ve worked as a copywriter for an in-house creative agency and I am currently the city editor for Red Tricycle.

Writing & Photography

As a freelance writer, my articles and photography appears in a variety of publications including Red Tricycle, Bust, Parent.co, Domino, Motherly, Livability and others. I also provide businesses like USTA PNW and Zillo with branded content—and have written my fair share of marketing copy for a variety of businesses in the health & wellness and travel & hospitality industries.

Editorial Management

I enjoy any opportunity that allows me to be creative, but projects that let me to flex my innovative muscles and call on my resources are my sweet spot. I am particularly fond of editorial management jobs as well as assignments that require content curation. A quick review of my portfolio reveals that I have experience working on digital and print projects for wide-ranging areas of interest. And if you don’t have a team of creatives standing by, I have a large and talented network that I work with regularly.

Let’s Team Up!

If you need a writer, editor, photographer, or content curator—let’s talk! If my skills don’t match your needs, I have a long list of professional connections that include web and graphic designers, illustrators, videographers and more that I’d be happy to put you in touch with.
